Our clinic is equipped with ultrasound diagnostic equipment (echo). An examination that allows us to see pictures of the reflection of sonic waves by applying gel on to the skin and moving a probe around the area. It is painless and can be performed in little time. The echo allows us to see details that can’t be seen from the surface, such as the nature of a tumor or how deep a lump is. The test results will then determine whether the patient needs immediate treatment or just a follow-up. The echo is also used before surgery in order to assess the patient’s blood flow and ensure that it is safe to perform the surgery.
