Psoriasis is a disease characterized by inflammation of the skin, primarily caused by abnormal immune balance . You may experience various-sized red raised areas and silver-white scales (skin flakes) anywhere on the body.  Symptoms may most commonly occur in areas that are easily stimulated such as the head, elbows, knees, and waist. It can also be accompanied with nail deformities or arthritis.
