Pediatric Dermatology

Newborns and infants are also welcome at our department of pediatric dermatology.

We treat skin problems common in children such as dry skin and allergies, and give guidance on skincare. Children’s skin is extremely delicate and becomes dry very easily compared to adults’ skin. Any minor stimulus can cause the skin to get irritated and cause rashes like the diaper rash. Proper medication is key, but it is also important to know the proper way of washing the skin or of applying ointments. In order to avoid prolonging the skin problem, please consult a doctor as soon as you notice any change in your child’s skin condition. We try to avoid anything that causes too much burden on children; for example, we use the anesthesia sticker to alleviate pain or use the allergy test method that requires us to simply prick the children’s finger in order to obtain their blood.

If there is a possibility that your child’s skin condition is contagious, please let our staff know.
